This is the original one of a kind drawing that David Stoupakis did for the band Korn – See You On The Other Side Album Single Coming Undone. This drawing was created for the Single Coming Undone also seen in the deluxe edition for Korn – See You On The Other Side Album. This was the drawing that was shown to the band to get approval then transferred into the painting.

Juxtapoz: One of your paintings graces the cover of Korn’s most recent CD, See you on the Other Side. How did that gig come about?

David: Korn was playing a free surprise show for their fans at CBGB,
and I had a couple of paintings hanging in CB’s 313 Gallery. Jonathan
Davis, Korn’s lead singer, ended up seeing one of the paintings that was
there, but the painting was already sold. He really loved the work so
he called me up to have me do a commission for him. I also ended up
going to see the show that night, and we struck up a friendship. Then, a
year and half later, they needed an album cover and he wanted me to
send him some sketches. He gave me this one lyric, “I’m just a child
with a tear in his eyes / And I’m holding
this gift that is broken,” and from that I did like seven drawings.
They finally decided on the one that’s on the album cover, and then it
just blew up from there. For a deluxe version of the CD, they gave me
total control-design and layout-and I did another 11 paintings for that,
plus another painting for a single.

Hello and welcome to my auction!

My name is Nina. I’m 26 years old and a self-taught artist and aspiring novelist in the United States. Unfortunately, due to the economy I’ve been unemployed for over 2 years. This auction is for 3 art pieces from Howl’s Moving Castle.

The first is an ACEO card of Howl and Sophie in celebration of Valentine’s day. Card is hand-drawn and inked with Sakura micron pen and colored with Prismacolor markers, Sharpie markers, and white gel pen. Card is 2.5 x 3.5 inches on bristol board paper.

The second is another drawing of Howl and Sophie. Drawing is 9 x 12 inches on bristol board paper. Drawing is inked with Sakura micron pen, and colored with Prismacolor color pencils.

The third is an ACEO card of Howl. Card is painted with watercolor paint, and some gold acrylic paint for the lapels of his coat. I inked it with Sakura micron pen. Card is 2.5 x 3.5 inches on watercolor paper.

The colors on these art pieces are very beautiful and vibrant! Photos don’t do them justice! Some of the photos I took came out a bit dark. They are much brighter in person.

Artwork is perfect for a Valentine’s or birthday gift, a nice edition to a person’s collection, or simply an inexpensive way to own a piece of original art.

These are the original drawings, NOT copies or prints. They are the only ones I have made- ONE OF A KIND. I have signed them. Drawings will be shipped with cardboard. ACEO cards come in their own plastic protective sleeves. Please contact me before payment if you purchase more than one auction and I’ll happily combine shipping.
